Finding us

By bicycle
From both directions the bicycle path leads you directly into the Mainstrasse. Next to the church you come to a little alleyway and on the right hand side there is the entrance to our cottage (house) Mainstrasse 25.

By train
From the central railway station in Würzburg one has to take the bus no. 22 or 52 to Margetshöchheim, get off at the bus stop “Dorfstrasse”. For more details: www.wvv.de

Walk down “Dorfstrasse” until you reach “Mainstrasse, turn left, carry on as above.

A taxi from the central railway station to Margetshöchheim will cost approx. EURO 15.

By car
Motorway (Autobahn) coming from Nürnberg and motorway (Autobahn) coming from Ulm:
At the motorway exit Rottendorf/Würzburg West carry on the mainroad (Bundesstrasse 8) direction Würzburg, until you come to the end (traffic light and under bridge of a flyover), turn left onto the main road (Bundesstrasse 27) direction “Fulda”. Keep to your right, the left lane takes you to the town centre. Follow the B27 direction “Fulda/Karlstadt”, passing Würzburg and its vineyards. After about 3 km turn right direction “Zell”, crossing the railway bridge and the river Main bridge, after crossing the bridges turn right again. Follow the main road along the river and the village Zell and after about 3 km take the right turn to Margetshöchheim. Turn right into Erlabrunner Straße, the third road on the right (Dorfstrasse) takes you down to the riverside into (Mainstrasse). There turn left and follow the road as above.

Motorway from Frankfurt (Autobahn A3):
Motorway exit Helmstadt, direction Würzburg. At Waldbüttelbrunn turn of right and follow the direction Zell. The road takes you down along the river Main, passing the village Zell, direct to Margetshöchheim. Follow the directions as above.

Motorway from Kassel (A7):
Motorway exit Estenfeld, direction Würzburg, after the first traffic light at the outskirts of Würzburg follow the B27 direction “Fulda/Karlstadt”. Follow the directions as above Motorway Nürnberg.

Country road/Highway from the south/Würzburg:
You drive on the left side of the river Main direction north (the river Main is on your right side). Margetshöchheim is about 7 km from Würzburg. When you reach Margetshöchheim, follow the above directions.

Country Road/Highway from the north:
Drive in the direction Würzburg. In Himmelstadt or Zellingen cross over to the left side of the river Main. You reach Margetshöchheim about 7 km before Würzburg. Take the first exit on your left to Margetshöchheim, then take the second road on your left (Ludwigstrasse) until you get to Mainstrasse, turn right. Follow the directions as above.
